Diabetes affects the body's ability to use blood sugar for energy. The main types of diabetics are type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. Diabetes insipid us, a rare disorder, is not related to diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes).
Symptoms:
1. Increased Thirst.
2. Increased Hunger.
3. Depression.
4. Fatigue.
5. Blurred Vision.

7. Slow Healing Sores Or Cuts.
8. Itching Skins Especially In Groin Or Vaginal Area.

Causes:
Diabetes is a disease that involves problems with the hormone insulin. It is not necessary that everyone with diabetes is overweight, obesity and lack of physical activity are the 2 main causes which cause diabetes. The pancreas of a healthy person releases insulin to help to help the body to store n use sugar from the food we eat. Diabetes happens when one of the following occurs:
• When the pancreas does not produce any insulin.
• When the pancreas produces very little insulin.
• When the body does not respond appropriately to insulin.
Prevention:
Prevention is possible by taking in healthy diet, a lot of physical activity and proper exercise, loosing weight, quitting smoking, lowering your cholesterol and blood pressure help reduce your risk of complications.
Ways to lose weight:
Loosing weight may reduce the intake of medication and this will make a diabetic person feel better, here are some ways by which one can loose weight:
Proper exercise:
The best way to lose weight is thru proper exercise, it is important that exercise should be age appropriate. This may lead to reduction in medication and help the patient to feel better and healthy.
Proper Diet:
Intake of proper diet is also very important, taking in of healthy food and decrease the intake of carbohydrates is very important. It is very important to respond on a given diet sheet.
Medication:
There are inject able medications which help control blood sugar and at the same time allow the patient to lose weight, but these medications are under investigation due to their side effects.
Problems which occur while losing weight:
1. Fatigue.
Fatigue is caused due to less intake of carbohydrates, but it is important to increase intake of protein diet which helps maintain stamina.
2. Depression.
Intake of medication and weight loss may sometimes lead to depression.
3. Increase In Hunger:
Hunger increases due to the weight loss, a person is eating and at the same time feeling hungry because he is not taking a proper diet.
4. Dehydration:
The buildup of sugar in blood can cause increase in urination. When kidneys loose glucose through urine, a large amount of water is also lost causing dehydration.
